Why I started Dance Moves dancewear
Dance has been part of my life for as long as I remember, it is a passion that has steered the direction of my life choices.
I was never going to be a dancer, but after finishing High School I pursued dance and teaching as a young adult and have always enjoyed recreational classes.
It was joining the Dance Club at University and becoming Chairperson that sparked my interest in marketing and communications. I loved the promotional aspect of running the second biggest club on campus and communicating who we are to the masses and sharing a love of dance together. This was the foundation of my career in marketing and I’ll always be grateful for that.
Originally from the UK, my husband and I moved to Australia in 2007 and settled here, before welcoming three children. My two girls have also been blessed with the dance ‘bug’ and it has reignited my infatuation with this world. I’ve met so many dance families over the years and a common themes I was hearing is:
- Takes time to understand becoming a dance family, the rehearsals and schedules can be overwhelming and if you are not from a dance background understanding the products you might need.
- Limited opportunities for quality dancewear supply in our local area, have to go online or closer to the city
- Looking for an easier way to get hold of what they need for dancing as we all lead such busy lives
Taking on board this feedback along with my desire to provide the best quality products, ethically made and that can help enhance performance, I began Dance Moves dancewear!

We connect the dance community by bringing dancewear to you via pop up mobile stalls at studios and dance events and also supporting new dance families in their journey with helpful advice and tips.

We care about our customers, the dance community and the production of our products. We only source products of the highest quality that are ethically made and we are passionate about promoting the art of dance to everyone with any need.
